How to crochet a Magic Ring
Thursday, September 03, 2015
Hi everyone! How are you today? I hope that you’re having a
great day, but if for some reason you’re not, come with me and forget
everything with the next crochet tutorial =).
In today’s
video we’re gonna learn a basic crochet technique called Magic Ring, which is
really helpful when we have to work in rounds.
Don’t forget that under the video you are gonna
find the timeline where you can find the exact minute where the
tutorial start, also the slow-motion, tips and more.
So, let’s begin!
VIDEO
TIPS & TRICKS
This technique is also called as Magic Circle, Magic Loop or
Adjustable Ring and you don’t need and specific yarn or hook to make it.
This is an alternative technique to begin to work in rounds,
the most popular is making a circle of chains, but the disadvantage of using
chains is the hole that it leaves. But of course, this could happen too to our
Magic Ring if we work more than 12 stitches on it.
In case that you need a bigger Magic Ring and 3 or 4 fingers
are not good enough to make it, or also it is difficult for you to do it this
way, instead of taking the first piece
of Yarn very close to the tip, we’re gonna
take it far above than we usually do, and we’ll start working our magic
ring as was shown on this tutorial, without any more changes.
When we finished, we’re gonna have a Magic Ring with a
normal size, right? Well, if we pull the piece of yarn called Yarn One, we can make it grow as
much as we want or need to.
And this was everything for this tutorial, i hope that you
had enjoyed it, but most important that you have learned this basic crochet
technique.
